Kidport

I found this website that I wanted to share that actually has a link that is designed just for kindergarten! It is an Internet-based educational service designed to help K-8 students excel across the curriculum. It provides unique multi-step program to create empowered learners. The major components are Curriculum-based Content (What Kids Need to Know), Learning Process (How Kids Learn), and Compelling Experience (What Kids Love) that creates Coherent Learning System. With this website, I was able to find educational activities that went along with the standards that I was teaching this week. As a whole class, I highlighted different activities and the students loved doing them during center rotations. With kindergarten, it always helps to introduce and do a few examples on the television prior to the students having an opportunity to do them on their own.

I found a great activity to pass on to my teachers about the Pilgrims.

Good find! I like that it is geared for kindergarten...this may make it even easier to adapt to my first grade classroom!

Can you effectively implement the use of technology in the kindergarten classroom?
